Rules

Team composition
Teams can be made up of all male, all female or mixed.

Teams of 6 people.

No Categories (Not limited to Region, Organisation, Age, Gender, etc)

Every team needs a team name and must have a team captain.

Competitors can only participate in one team due to limited time.

What to wear - competitors to provide
Closed toe shoes

Safety Gloves

Team captain to wear hi-vis (Provided by UFBA at venue)

 

Competition Format

  • All competitors begin at FINISH line

  • Race starts with the sounding of the horn - Clock will start when the horn sounds

  • Run as a group to the appliance

  • Pick up the lengths of rope – 3 competitors per rope

  • Distance of pull – 30 m

  • Clock will stop when the beam is broken by the front of the appliance

  • Teams must stay in their lane marked out by the cones

  • Any decisions made by Challenge Panel Leader will be final and cannot be contested

Penalties

  • False starts (competitor moving before the start horn has been sounded)

  • First false start will result in restart of race. Second false start will result in removal of competitor

  • Competitor closest to truck cannot slip behind the safety marker

  • Competitor dropping the rope after handling it

  • Competitor coiling the rope around any part of their body
