Rules

Age Divisions (as at 31 December 2023)

Under 30 (18-29) | 30-39 | 40-49 |50-59 |60+

All age divisions have unlimited golden score.

Weight Divisions

Male: Under 60kgs | U66kgs | U73kgs | U81kgs | U90kgs | U100kgs | 100kgs+

Female: Under 48kgs | U52kgs | U57kgs | U63kgs | U70kgs | U78kgs | 78kgs+

Judogi Regulations

  1. IJF Contest Rules regarding judogi size will apply.

  2. The use of blue judogi is compulsory.

  3. All female judoka are required to wear a plain white cre neck T-shirt.

Contests

  1. Where there is only one judoka in a weigh division the judoka will receive an uncontested gold medal and have the right to fight up to the next contested weight division.

  2. Where there are two (2) judoka in a weight division, they will fight a ‘best of three (3)’. Should one judoka win the first two fights the third will not be fought.

 

Contest Times

  • Under 30 years = 4 minutes

  • 30-40, 40-50, 50-60 years = 3 minutes

  • 60+ years = 2.5 minutes

Draw

  1. Divisions of 4 or less judoka will be Round Robin.

  2. Divisions of 5 or more will be straight knockout with a repechage.

  3. No players will be seeded.

The draw will be conducted after the completion of the official weigh-in.

Weigh-in

This will take place on Saturday 5th March 2022 at the competition venue.

Judoka who fail to make weight in their designated weight category shall be disqualified from that category, but these judoka may have their name entered into the appropriate category for their weight on payment of an administration weight change fee (amount TBC).
