NZ National 8 Ball Rules will be applied to the 8 Ball competition. These rules in short are as follows:
If your opposition goes in off, or snookers you, you have a free ball.
Nearly every other foul is a combo.
After any foul by your opponent you may ask them to play again (from where the balls lie).
Free Ball - When awarded a free ball, you may take any of the oppositions balls ot the Black ball, as yours, for the one shot only, then you must play your own for your 2nd shot. If you take the Black as free ball and pot it, it gets replaced back on it’s spot. If you cannot hit both sides of all balls, of your set you have a free ball (the cushion is not the cause of a snooker).
Combo Rule - If you get a combo, you may pick up the cue ball and place it anywhere on the table, take a free ball if you wish and carry on. Any two foulds in a row by a player is a Combo.
